All the Nines: This puzzle has 9 letter to each answer, once you have completed the Crossword part of the puzzle there will be 9 letters in 9 shaded boxes. Rearrange those 9 letters to answer the clue at the end of the puzzle.
Anagrams: This puzzle has all letters mixed up to form different words. You have to rearrange the letters in the clue to form the correct words.
Code Breakers: All letters of the alphabet have been substituted for another letter. Find out what letter is used for another letter to solve the code.
Diagramless: This is just like an ordinary Crossword except that not all of the grid has been filled in. Fill in as many boxes as you can with the parts of the grid already provided, keeping in mind that the completed grid will be in a symmetrical form. Also, use the number of the clues in the grid to assist you before trying to answer any of the clues.
Big & Medium: These are both ordinary Crosswords and should be solved in the usual way.
Novelties: This is just like an ordinary Crossword except all answers have something in common. Read the common thread at the top of the puzzle and then it should be solved in the usual way.
Double Acrostic: This is really 2 puzzles in 1. First, answer all the clues in the top part of the puzzle and then transfer all the letter to the grid below to reveal a passage from a book etc.
Reference: Each letter of the alphabet has been substituted for a number. 3 letters have been provided for you. Start by trying to guess the correct word using the clues provided, once the top part of the puzzle is complete transfer the letters to the grid below to reveal a quote, name etc.
